Anyone who has witnessed a Regatta or has been fortunate enough to be on the boat while in competition can tell you there is no other experience like it. A Regatta is a term used to describe a series of boat racing events of natural powered water craft most commonly, a series of either sailing, gondola races or yacht races. A regatta often includes social and promotional activities which surround the racing event, and except in the case of class championships, is usually named for the town or venue where the event takes place.
